La vita interiore è preghiera, unione con Dio, ma per ottenere la grazia di praticare le virtù, specialmente le più necessarie: l'umiltà e la carità.

The interior life is prayer, union with God, but to obtain the grace to practise virtues, specially the most necessary: humility and charity.

Eternità

The Lord, in His goodness, put us on this earth because He wants us to participate in His glory in heaven.

Il Signore per sua bontà ci ha messo su questa terra perché vuole farci partecipi della sua gloria in cielo.

Humility

We have to not only learn from books, but have the humility to learn from all and to learn all.

Non dobbiamo solo imparare sui libri, ma avere l'umiltà di imparare da tutto e imparare tutto.

Assunzione di Maria

La festa dell'Assunzione di Maria ci invita a pensare al premio, alla risurrezione del corpo, alla sua glorificazione; questo pensiero ci allieta, ci conforta, ci richiama alla speranza e alla preghiera.

The feast of the Assumption of Mary invites us to think, first of all, the resurrection of the body, of its glorification; this thought cheers us, comforts us, recalls us to hope and to prayer.

Guardian Angel

Let us be accompanied in our journey of life by the guardian angel. God in His great and infinite goodness gave us as guardian, as companion, an angel, one of the heavenly spirits who always see the Lord, is always near us and very near to God in the contemplation of the Blessed Trinity.

ANGELO CUSTODE

Facciamoci accompagnare nel cammino della vita dall'angelo custode. Dio nella sua grande e infinita bontà ci ha dato per custode, per compagno un angelo, uno degli spiriti celesti che vedono sempre il Signore (cfr. Mt 18,10), sta sempre vicino a noi e vicinissimo a Dio nella contemplazione della SS. Trinità.

St. Paul

Let us imitate St. Paul.

He had a strong faith, an ardent charity. If we experience difficulties, let us recourse to our Lady, who is our teacher. You see that she never leave those who pray with faith... with trust, with humility, with perseverance, because our Lady is suppliant omnipotence and when we ask something and ask her well, she will grant us. Words of Mother Thecla Merlo

Our life has value only when it rests on God and is spent for Him. If only we would gain a deep insight into the words of Jesus! We would find new meaning every time and become better persons. This is why we should pray that the Gospel may be diffused, loved and lived. The world will be better for it.

Maria--dai pensieri di Tecla Merlo

Ricorriamo a Maria, preghiamola, ma ciò che è più gradito alla Madonna è che noi cerchiamo di imitare le sue virtù.

Se amiamo la Madonna, imitiamo Gesù. Che cosa ha fatto il Signore venendo nel mondo? Si è affidato a Maria, si è lasciato formare da lei. Gesù non si offende se noi ricorriamo sovente a sua Madre, anzi è contento e tutto ciò che la Madonna chiede glielo dà perché l'ha fatta dispensiera di tutte le grazie.

Tecla (1894 - 1964)

Tecla, cofondatrice e prima superiora generale della Figlie di San Paolo, come un ritornello fa risuonare in parole il carisma paolino: "La nostra congregazione è istituita e approvata come Casa di magistero: scrive, stampa e diffonde il Vangelo per fare la carità della verità". Se è importante provvedere al pane materiale, è altrettanto urgente spezzare il pane del Vangelo, per rispondere alla fame di assoluto che è in ogni persona.
